I have yet to see any significant changes. But I can confirm that the much awaited front camera function STILL isn’t there yet!!  WTF, NOKIA!!!!

Flash Player for Nokia N9

The Nokia N9 gets another treat from Nokia. Adobe FlashPlayer is now available for download at the Nokia Store or you can download it directly from this link (Note: Your Nokia credentials are needed to download). The plug-in currently works only with FireFox web browser for the N9.

Is the Nokia N9 keeps getting better, or what?!? 😀

GTalk brings video-calling capability to the N9 🙂

Gtalk for the N9 is now available for download at the Nokia Store!  PR1.2 (or up) is a pre-requisite.  This is BIG welcome news to us Nokia N9 owners.  Finally some use for it’s front-facing camera! Looking forward to Skype to follow suit (?!) – Hurry-up, Microsoft!!! 😛

Finally! After a long wait, I’ve finally flashed my Nokia N9 to the latest Meego-Harmattan version.

Meego-Harmattan PR1.2 (30.2012.07-1_PR_001) installed in my Nokia N9

As soon as the upgrade finished, I took some screen shots of what changed since PR1.1.  So far I managed to see the following:

• New Color Profile in the Display Settings

• Media Sharing (DLNA) in the Settings, as well as a new DLNA icon in the Status Bar when the feature is enabled:

• In Video Mode, an icon to manually set the LED to turn on, assists video recording in the dark:

• The Fonts are now a little bit bigger and the spacing is much better – a welcome change, indeed!

Bigger and better spacing of fonts.

• Twitter and Facebook Notification in the Status Bar, Feed Screen and Stand-by Screen. My only gripe is that there should be a personalization option to change the notification sound.

I have yet to see the option to do VIDEO calls :((

I will update this post later as soon as I get the chance to tinker more of PR1.2 features…

The new Nokia Stereo Bluetooth Headset BH-221 comes with an integrated FM radio and OLED display. It as excellent audio quality and NFC for easy pairing with your phone.

There’s a new firmware for the Nokia N9 via NaviFirm+ 1.6.  It appears it’s specifically for the MEA (Middle East and Africa) units.  This is definitely different from the previous version 22.10.2011.40.4 which is also targetted for the MEA units.

I don’t have any idea what the changelog is. I’m still waiting for PR1.2 for my Black N9 64GB APAC version units.

PR1.2, anytime now…… 🙂
